Based in the prestigious Harley Street, André wanted to showcase the warm and friendly team, great facilities, and the premium location. They were looking to improve the visual impact of their website quickly. Due to the busy nature of the clinic and high rents in the area, we had a limited time to capture the content. From the initial conversation, they wanted to highlight that the clinic was established by renowned owner André de Oliveira but also convey that there are other skilled professionals at hand.
What Did We Do?
Our main goal for the shoot was to create enough content to refresh their website, update their staff headshots, and create a banner video to reduce the bounce rate when clients first visit the page. We decided that, rather than taking a traditional headshot in the clinic on a white wall, we would go out into the street and find a Harley Street sign to emphasise the location. For the banner video, we agreed that it should feature a single patient on their journey to better health, following them initially walking along Harley Street before entering the clinic and receiving multiple treatments that the clinic had to offer, portraying that you can get a holistic approach to your health and wellbeing. Finally, we wanted to capture the whole team in a group photo within the historic street.
How did we do it?
We shot all the content in a half-day on a Saturday to reduce the impact for the clinic. Although we had a tight timeline, we managed to provide much more than initially briefed. The timeline wasn’t the only thing tight on the shoot; due to the premium location, space is not readily available. While there is ample room for treatment, once we bring all our kit in, the space soon shrinks. To overcome this, we used small yet powerful lights to blast into the ceiling, giving us the light and bright environment we wanted while keeping the kit minimal. On the calls prior to the shoot, we identified the key treatments we wanted to shoot. Knowing that we would be under time pressure, we devised a system of working where we could take both photos and videos simultaneously. Luckily, we had the whole clinic dedicated to capturing content and model patients ready and waiting to be filmed. With this in mind, we utilised two of the three treatment rooms at the same time, one team member capturing photos, the other video, then swapping. This way of working meant that we could have more room in the treatment room and pack a lot into the half day. Like many shoots, the weather can be intermittent; we were struck with a few showers on a day where we needed to shoot outside and show the historic Harley Street location. We always make sure to take advantage of windows of opportunity when available, quickly getting outside when the weather turned to get staff headshots and shots for the banner video.
What Were The Results?
Banner Video: We wanted to instantly let potential patients know that the clinic is on historic Harley Street. With this in mind, we made sure that we filmed aspects of the street when capturing a mock patient journey. We also managed to get lots of archival footage, so should the clinic want to produce further videos in the future.
Promo Video: Due to the amount of footage we captured, we were also able to make a short promo video with a copyright-free music track so that the clinic could use it on social media.
223 Photos including headshots: With a clinic that has so many services, we had to capture lots of images to give them multiple options for their website, blog posts, and social media.
