David has been on a long journey to get Disc to where it is today. He had his own personal battles with Sciatica during a climbing accident 6 years prior and dived into the research to create the UK’s first tried, tested, and dedicated program specific to disc injuries and trapped nerves.
What Did We Do?
When David came to us, they were in the process of a complete rebrand, including client aesthetics, business name, and the services they offer. We had an in-depth conversation about what he wanted to achieve, the content to look and the stories they wanted to tell. We recognized it was hugely important to dive into David’s story to show that solving people’s back pain is a personal mission. We also knew that David was not the only one who we needed to hear from; they had so many patients that have also had transformative results, we needed to make sure we featured them. Due to the rebrand, David did not want to skimp on the details; we needed to include not only photo and video but also logo animation, drone video, and creative graphics. Taking on a project like this with a blank slate and a forward-thinking owner made for some great results.
How did we do it?
The first thing we needed to do on this project was to gain some establishing shots of the premise. We brought a lot of equipment to the shoots, so before we brought it all in, we made sure to capture the spaces in their entirety, including drone shots to use later in the videos. The next step was to interview David about his personal story, the services that the clinic offers, and what really makes them unique; thankfully, David was very confident on camera, something that isn’t natural to most but what we needed to do was make sure we condensed all the amazing knowledge he has into a concise video. The way we do that is to repeat back to the interviewer what we think they have said but in a much shorter version; the interviewee can then replicate that back in their own words but much shorter and easier to digest for the viewer. We had various testimonial patients come in throughout the day, so we left a pared-down interview set up ready to go so that we could ask them about their experience and then transition into getting shots with them being treated to complete the other videos. The first shoot day was so successful that David invited us back to cover more content and photos for their website. On day two, we focused on other technologies they offer, more testimonials, and even some ASMR videos. Once all the shooting was done, we then had all the assets to start creating all the videos; we consulted with David, sending various options back and forth for logo animations and stylish intro graphics so that their videos were instantly recognizable online.
What Were The Results?
Davids Story: We produced both an extended and condensed version for the clinic to use, should people want more information.
6 x Client Testimonials: We asked what initially brought them to the clinic, the treatment they received, and the outcomes. This allows other potential patients to relate to them and know that they can achieve the same results.
2 x Banner Videos: We provided two banner videos so that they could swap and change their website at any time. Having two different videos enabled them to have an A B split test to test which is most effective.
4 x Service explainers: We took a service such as laser or traction and really delved into what it is, who it helps, and the expected treatment time.
Promotional Video: We used some David’s interview to introduce the clinic, what they specialize in, their goals and motivations to help as many people as possible get out of pain.
Custom logo animation and intro graphics: For each video, we made sure that we had the company branding on screen and a their logo animate at the end to really give it the wow factor.
