Flex Physio – Burgess Hill

Operated by three exceptional practitioners, Flex Physiotherapy aimed to distinguish itself and showcase its specialised services in its bespoke clinic in Mid Sussex. Offering unique services such as knee bracing and ultrasound-guided injections, it was crucial to visually depict these services and demonstrate the clinicians’ knowledge on each topic.

What Did We Do?

Similar to many physiotherapy practices, Flex initially used stock imagery on their website, partly for convenience and also because they had recently moved to a new location. Our initial goal was to upgrade these images with actual photos of their staff and location. We used these images to populate their existing website, as well as their social media, blog posts, and physical marketing materials. Although the team had a wealth of content on their existing YouTube channel, all the videos were produced by the clinic’s staff. While informative, these videos lacked the professional touch of excellent audio and lighting. The team desired videos that not only provided information for potential patients but also showcased their beautiful clinic, presenting the practice as a welcoming place for treatment.

How did we do it?

Upon arriving at the clinic, we were impressed by the well-lit, open space, including a beautifully designed reception area and rehabilitation gym. One of the initial challenges, common in many clinics, was finding a space for interviewing practitioners. Since many practitioners are not confident on camera, we aimed to find a private area where they could relax without feeling the pressure of other staff listening in. To accommodate the large open-plan gym space, we used the treatment rooms, which were compact. Despite having limited space, we utilised wider lenses to create the illusion of a larger space. To efficiently capture a diverse range of patients, we left the interview set up in place, allowing staff to walk in when available to give their interview and then return to treating patients. Flex was excellent in arranging a variety of patients for us to film, including children and a family member who was previously a part-time model. Working as a team of two, we alternated between capturing stills and video clips of all their treatments, providing the team with a wide array of shots for each explainer video. This allowed practitioners to visually demonstrate the treatments they were discussing, enhancing the explanation and putting potential customers at ease. This was all fueled by the amazing lunch the team provided—thanks, Flex!

What Were The Results?​

After a full day of filming and four days of editing, we produced the following content for the Flex team:

Banner Video: A visually guided tour of the practice, showing a patient walking in and receiving top-notch treatment. Ideal for an engaging homepage and reducing the bounce rate on their website.

7 x Service Explainers: Each video describes a particular service that they offer. On-screen, practitioners explain their expertise, accompanied by visuals of the actual process with a patient. This not only enhances the explanation but makes the video more dynamic and easier to watch. The videos cover topics such as Bracing, Children’s Physio, Pelvic Health, Manual Therapy, Rehabilitation, Shockwave, and Ultrasound.

About Us Video: A combination of all three owners explaining the reason they started the business, who they aim to help, and how they do it through their range of unique services.
