Osteo and physio is one of the larger MSK franchises in the country. Run by Jonathan Boxall, they currently service Cornwall, Devon and Surrey with ongoing growth planned for the next 18 months.
Osteo & Physio approached us with a view to running ads to improve numbers in their central London clinic. However, as with anything, focussing on one area doesn’t always address the problem. Their current website was simply unusable. After running some campaigns and driving traffic, the drop offs were far too high and cost far too much money to generate patient numbers without making improvements throughout the entirety of their marketing.
The first step was to create a new website that made it easy for patients to find the clinic and the services that they were looking for. The issue we found was that residents near a local clinic would end up on a generic homepage rather than the actual clinic that had the details they required. There was also no differentiation between the clinics and the entire booking process was sub optimal. Furthermore the site was slow which resulted in a higher than normal bounce rate and thus lower patient numbers than would be expected. We created the new website, fixed all the issues as we saw them and immediately we could see improvements in all areas.
Next steps & results
To address the issue of potential patients hitting the generic homepage rather than the more relevant clinic page, we began an SEO implementation strategy which meant that in every location patients will now go to the appropriate page which has improved usability for the patient and has helped to increase patient bookings. We also optimised each location’s Google My Business profile and now Osteo & Physio dominate every area in which they are located.
Given the nature of Osteo & Physio and its growth and expansion into new clinics, we’ve built a strategy to generate new patients for each new clinic within the first 4 weeks of it opening. Our aim for a new clinic is to see upwards of 20 new patients in the first month. For established clinics we want to see 40+. This is through a mix of Google ads, SEO, Facebook & Instagram advertising.
