Helen, the current owner of Preston’s Health, comes from a long line of healthcare professionals. The business started in 1969 and is extremely well-known within the Peterborough area. Helen wanted to modernise the business, and with the help of her business coach Celia Champion and our assistance, we aimed to bring the visuals of the business up to date.
What Did We Do?
In our initial calls with Helen, while she wanted to modernise the business image, she did not want to forget its heritage. Speaking together, we realised how the clinic had transformed many lives within the community. A common issue Helen faced was that their flagship clinic is located within the David Lloyd gym site and often not obvious to new customers. With Helen’s aims firmly understood, we set out to create a shoot plan to get the most from the day’s filming and photography.
How did we do it?
The first type of video we started with was a banner video. We wanted to give a clean, modern image to the clinic and also provide a visual representation of where the clinic is, through the eyes of a happy and satisfied patient. While it may seem trivial to show a patient clearly walking in the main entrance, up some stairs, and into the main door of the clinic, it is key to showing a new patient where to go and reducing the number of calls dealing with lost patients. The team’s years of knowledge were invaluable and a great asset to the practice. We wanted to demonstrate that in videos explaining their services. From experience, we know that some individuals can be nervous about their first visit to a physiotherapist, so we make sure that their condition is explained simply, and the treatment they will receive is clear. Having this in a video not only demonstrates the team’s expertise but also shows they are friendly and likeable. Who would you pick when choosing your care? Someone you can see, like, and trust, or a faceless website filled with stock photography? Something we always encourage clinics to do is share patient stories. There is nothing better than seeing a real-life person on screen sharing a life-changing story! Thankfully, Helen had just the patient, suffering from extremely painful back issues and now living a normal life. Helen’s patient expressed intense gratitude for giving her life back. We captured some beautiful footage of Helen and her patient together, resulting in an emotional yet extremely effective video testimonial. Throughout the day, we made sure to capture lots of footage of patients being treated, team shots down by the river, and lots of natural photos to fill the new website.
What Were The Results?
With one day of filming and three edit days, we managed to achieve:
About Us Video: Showcasing the clinic’s history, their goals, who and how they help a range of conditions.
Banner Video: A great addition to the homepage, attracting potential customers and showing all the great features of the clinic, including the hydro pool and gym.
Promotional Video: We managed to repurpose some of the content to create an exciting promo video to be used on social media.
2 x Service Explainers: Covering both physio and massage, we created videos that explain and also show like-minded patients being treated.
Testimonial video: We shared an emotional, life-changing story featuring one of the clinic’s patients.
320 Photos: We took lots of great photos of the team, the treatments and location, including the gym and pool area.
