The Wellness Hub

The Wellness Hub in Berkhampstead, run by Emma James, is a multidisciplinary clinic offering a variety of MSK services but with a twist! A mix of physiotherapy, wellness and a shopping experience to boot. This was certainly an exciting project for us to work on.

What Did We Do?

We had been working with Emma for some time and then the dreaded lockdown of March 2020 hit! Emma is an incredible person who’s always willing to try new things and isn’t afraid of change. Over the next month we discussed her views on her clinic, her feelings about the business that she had built, what she really loved doing and where she saw herself in the future. We decided a step change was needed and began putting together a plan that was entirely different to anything we’d seen in the MSK market.
Once the business plan was put together the next step was to create a new brand! So we delved into the depths of her mind, what she loved, colours she liked and what we wanted to new clinic to represent and how it should feel. You can download the branding project here.
Once we had agreement we then set about building out the new site and in the background putting together a plan for marketing, social media and social advertising.
The key was to make sure the site would be a platform that could both sell a variety of very different services and act as a shopping platform.

How did we do it?

At the same time a straightforward marketing campaign wasn’t going to cut it, we had to think carefully about structuring a more complex campaign and we had to be aware that further lockdowns could happen which meant having the ability to generate income outside of appointments.
We created a social shopping campaign to help sell product, set up the technical infrastructure for online selling through an Instagram shop and WooCommerce on the site. We then put together the creative for the social campaigns and had a shop that could generate passive income!
Next was a Google ads campaign for the usual patient appointments. The Wellness Hub also offers a variety of women’s health services so we created social campaigns for awareness and ‘discovery appointments. The awareness campaign was incredibly important because not only did the business have a name change but it had also moved locations.

What Were The Results?​

From a fresh start in a new location offering new services and a retail arm, The Wellness Hub is now a thriving clinic! Once the first lockdown was over patients were flowing through the doors. We had created some sports massage campaigns which very quickly generated 50 new patients and gave the clinic a new kick start.
The pelvic health par of the clinic began to see an influx of patients and the shop became a large revenue stream in its own right.
This was particularly useful during the new lockdown at the end of 2020.
New equipment had also been purchased on the aesthetics side which meant a new marketing campaign and big plans for the future. We’re excited to see what happens in the rest of 2021 and just how far the clinic can go.
